Ken Duran, City Manager

San Dimas utilizes the City Council – City Manager form of local government. This system combines the leadership and decision making of an elected City Council with the managerial experience of an appointed city manager.

On December 11, 2018 the City Council appointed Kenneth J. Duran as City Manager as the new City Manager, effective May 3, 2019. Ken started with the city in 1986 as a Senior Recreation Supervisor; he has held the positions of Assistant to the City Manager, Acting City Manager and was appointed as Assistant City Manager in 1993. He grew up in San Dimas, attended San Dimas High School and graduated from Cal State Fullerton. He lives in Chino Hills with his wife Stacey; they have two adult daughters and a grandson Maverick.
