Under administrative direction, performs a variety of professional-level analytical assignments and special projects related to Housing or Community Development; researches and prepares reports, budgetary analyses and studies; and performs related duties as required.
Certified Fitness Instructor
Under direction this person instructs fitness classes at the San Dimas Recreation Center in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment. Instructor will promote wellness and create appropriate and challenging workouts for participants at the appropriate and safe level. They will instruct participants about exercise activities that improve strength, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility. They demonstrate correct movements and technique, while offering tips on improving form to maintain or improve physical fitness.
Under supervision, Recreation Leaders are responsible for coordinating and conducting a variety of youth recreation activities, special events, and adult sports programs. Recreation programs run from Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. May also be required to work special events and programs on evenings and weekends.
The City of San Dimas is seeking an enthusiastic team player for its Recreation Specialist position to work under direction of the Recreation Coordinator to assist with planning, coordinating, promoting and implementing Youth Sports and Special Events. Recreation Specialist must be available to work evenings and weekends as assigned.
