The City of San Dimas is currently accepting applications for the newly formed Quality of Life Task Force.
The City of San Dimas is embarking on a path to preserve and improve the Quality of Life for our San Dimas community. We want to actively promote participation in creating and maintaining a desirable, livable, and thriving City by utilizing City services in partnership with a broad variety of local stakeholders that share the same objectives.
The purpose of the Quality of Life Task Force is to ensure public participation and stakeholder input regarding current issues and potential solutions that affect our community’s Quality of Life. In addition, the Quality of Life Task Force may provide recommendations to and solicit input from various Boards, Commissions, and other experts in order to formulate robust recommendations for the City Council and City staff to utilize in decision-making.
The City is seeking various San Dimas stakeholders, such as San Dimas residents, Business community members, non-profit and faith-based representatives who can provide a variety of viewpoints, solutions on potentially difficult topics, who are open-minded and willing to accept differing views.
The expected time commitment for committee members would be attendance at meetings anticipated to start in July 2021. Meetings are expected to be held on weekdays (Monday-Thursday), possibly during evening hours. Virtual meetings may be utilized until public health agencies indicate social distancing is no longer necessary. Further, additional subcommittees and working groups may be utilized to support the taskforce’s activities.
The City greatly appreciates your interest in serving on the Quality of Life Task Force. The application form is provided below and should be submitted directly to the Community Development Department by June 25, 2021 by 4:30pm. Committee selections will be conducted by the end of June or early July and applicants who are selected will be informed by July 2021.
